event for a charity event. I know some of you are photographers and

Hi Vikram,
Hello again! I’m looking for a photographer for a special event and I
thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask you!
Some background: I volunteer for a non-profit (501-c3), LRBT America,
an organization that funds free eye surgeries in some of the most
impoverished areas in Pakistan. LRBT’s annual gala is coming up next
month and we are looking for someone to photograph the event, which
will feature a fashion show.
LRBT is the largest provider of quality eye care in Pakistan and is
committed to eradicating the suffering caused by visual impairment.
Today, there are over 1.7 million blind people in Pakistan, an
additional 11 million afflicted with impaired vision, and tens of
thousands of children suffering from eye-related ailments. Many of
these conditions are treatable and can be cured through simple,
cost-effective methods. Due to limited health care facilities and
financial resources, a simple eye ailment can lead to blindness.
Since its inception in 1984, LRBT has treated over 12 million people.
I know it’s late notice, but I’ve been tasked with trying to find a
photographer and I’m hoping you might be able to help or suggest
someone who is available. The event will be held April 25 in the
newly renovated ballroom at the Plaza Hotel on Fifth Avenue. Open bar
starts at 7 pm, followed by dinner, fashion show, and live auction.
We are looking for a photographer to cover the event, as well as take
photographs of the models to use as tear sheets in their portfolios.
