University Faculty of Arts & Science is seeking a Web Administrator with=
an entrepreneurial spirit who will manage the website of our top-rated Jour=
nalism Department.=A0The successful candidate will be a visionary and a tech=
nical expert as this position requires expertise in dynamic web development.=
The successful candidate will partner with Journalism=92s leadership team t=
o create and maintain an innovative web site that will be instrumental in at=
tracting prospective students, faculty, alumni and donors. With the assistan=
ce of a technical/editorial staff member, the successful candidate is also e=
xpected to maintain content and design; recommend and implement new technolo=
gies to meet service needs; advise and consult with faculty, staff, and stud=
ents in the design, development and implementation of online web application=
s for both external publishing and internal department usage; supervise the =
web content management system (CMS) and web server accounts and users; estab=
lish priorities and resolve routine and non-routine technical matters.
Qualifications

Bac=
helor’s degree with 3 years’ related experience or an equivalent combination=
. Must have experience developing and maintaining web sites including access=
, security, and creating/modifying scripts. This candidate must be a fast-le=
arning, creative problem solver, and knowledgeable about the practice of onl=
ine journalism and publishing, including audio/video. He/she will possess th=
e ability to develop PHP/MySQL applications (both custom and open-source, i.=
e. WordPress, Drupal); have excellent knowledge of Apache server, Python, an=
d HTML/CSS; and basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Linux fluency.=A0

ith diverse groups of individuals including students, faculty and staff.
* A self-starter with strong time and organizational managem=
ent skills.
* Ability to monitor and analyze web site pro=
blems and server performance/use.
