Re: Camera job for tomorrow night

Hey,

So I guess that means Toshi didn’t take the job…

I don’t actually know Mira and was just forwarding it along. We see this all the time (especially being tech folks) that people ask for things with only an idea of the product and no clue about the process. I’m not gonna say she shouldn’t have planned ahead and given more than one night’s notice, but I also think that you’re right – she doesn’t know about going rates, the work entailed, the level of skill, etc. Either way, I don’t assume she was expecting to hire a pro like yourself, but someone who likes downtown theater and thought it might be a fun night.

Perhaps you could teach a class to struggling artists about how to actually get what they need by pitching/packaging the exchange rate in a more palatable way. I could do us all a lot of good.
