Job Description
The New York Times Company has an internship opportunity in the
Research +
Development Labs. The intern will work with members of the R+D team in
developing in‐house data visualization projects, using multiple
screens and possibly
sensors.

Desired Skills:
Advanced Processing (Java)
Photoshop, Illustrator
Unix/Linux/Mac
Web Service and APIs
SVN

Optional Skills:
MySQL
Arduino and knowledge of sensors
Most Pixels Ever (http://code.google.com/p/mostpixelsever/)
Cappuccino making skills (even though we don’t have a cappuccino
machine)

Note: Only current, active undergraduate or graduate students are
eligible. Students
can either receive credit or pay ($20/hour) for this internship. The
Times Company
will provide the necessary assistance a student needs in order to
receive credit for
the internship.
