The Was=
serman Center for Career Development at NYU is looking for a Web / Gra=
phic Design Assistant to work 10-20 hours per week in our office, contributi=
ng to the design and maintenance of our office’s website as well as occasion=
al work in producing graphics/images for our print publications. This is a s=
tudent-worker position opening in our office, and we’re looking for a talent=
ed student with strong web and graphic design skills for the role.

DESCRIPTION:
This job deals with the design elements of the Was=
serman Center website; Photoshop and Illustrator and =
Dreamweaver are used daily. Flash and CSS coding are used =
less frequently, but are a must. There are some dynamic elements to our site=
, so familiarity with javascript, or experience with database develop=
ment (using ASP/PHP, SQL etc.) is a major plus.
The right candidate=
will be able to:
a) Take a handout or sketch and turn it into a w=
eb page or eye-catching printed material.
b) Create and Edit HTML/=
Javascript based web-forms and have them capture and display data stored in =
databases
c) Develop creative ways of making our site more dynamic=
, user-friendly, and visually appealing.
