The unpaid internship runs from February

Duties:

The intern will work on a variety of projects for Mo=
MA.org and other digital formats on tasks that include managing images and m=
edia, assisting with exhibition Web sites, and updating educational resource=
s. There is an opportunity to work on design and coding of projects if the c=
andidate has the appropriate level of experience and skills.

R=
equirements:

The intern should have a variety of experience i=
n software and hardware, especially Web design languages such as HTML and CS=
S. Experience in graphic design programs such as the Adobe Creative Suite pr=
eferred. Skills in advanced programs and systems such as Flash, Javascript, =
PHP, and Ruby are highly desirable. Experience working in a museum is a plus=
.

Eligibility:

College students (third and fo=
urth year), graduate students, and beginning museum professionals. The Museu=
m encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines to=
apply.

MoMA Internship Program:

The Internship Program provides interns =
in-depth exposure to the workings of individual departments and practical an=
d theoretical training in museum practices, and acquaints them with the role=
of museums in contemporary society. Working under the supervision of one of=
the Museum’s professional staff, interns contribute to timely projects, gai=
n insight into the functions of individual departments, and learn about the =
Museum’s various collections, exhibitions, and programs for visitors. Intern=
ship projects are based on Museum needs and requirements and are assigned to=
interns with the appropriate skills and interests.
