Position:
The Queens Museum of Art is currently seeking Web De=
sign
instructors for its New New=
Yorkers Program
to teach HTML-based web design to adult immigrant students.
This is a temporary 2 month position with the possib=
ility to
teach more classes in the future.
The course consists of 8 Sunday sessions and the
compensation rate is $240 per session.

Skills:
Sound knowledge of Dreamweaver software. Bilingua=
l-Spanish
or Mandarin. Interest in community outreach and immigrant issues a
plus.

On the New New Yorkers Program:
In a partnership with the Queens Library, the New Ne=
w
Yorkers Program designs and implements educational classes to meet the need=
s of
immigrant adult communities in Queens. Broadening horizons and teaching
valuable life skills through the arts, we offer the opportunity to interact
with artists and their innovative work. Our courses are taught, cost-free, =
in a
variety of languages and emphasize the arts, technology and English languag=
e
acquisition. Some subjects covered are: painting, book making, crafts,
photography, video editing, performance, graphic design, web design, comput=
er
literacy, arts literacy and English for Speakers of Other Languages.
