Visiting Assistant Professor of New Media/Informatics

The Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts Area of New Media and the College
of Liberal Arts & Sciences Department of Computer Science program in
Informatics at Indiana University South Bend invite applications for a
visiting assistant professor position beginning August 1, 2010. This is a
joint one-year appointment between New Media and Informatics. We seek an
artist/researcher with substantial creative and technical skills able to
teach in our interdisciplinary BFA New Media degree, a program that has
experience very rapid growth and diversification. A terminal degree in
visual arts, new media, intermedia, informatics, computer science, or other
appropriate field is required. Candidates demonstrating experience and
fluency in topics such as digital video and audio, digital media
composition, 3D graphic design, 2D and 3D animation, object-oriented
programming, scripting, GUI design, web design, game design, and other areas
combining art, communication, and technology will be given preference.
Teaching load per semester is normally 2 three credit hour courses in New
Media and 1 three credit hour course in Informatics.
