Manhattan.

We have a position for a highly experienced, extremely knowledgeable,
devastatingly brilliant developer/programmer of front-end user interfaces f=
or
Flash/Flex, iPhone, and Android platforms. You should have programmer-level
knowledge of AS3, Objective C, and/or Java, an intimate understanding of th=
e
principles of good interface design, and a solid professional track record =
of
developing rich media user interfaces and applications with sophisticated l=
ogic
and integration with other client/server components. Advanced design,
illustration, or animation skills are not a requirement, but would of cours=
e be
welcome. We’re more interested in seeing that you know how to program u=
sing the
most advanced OOP and standards-based approaches to programming structure a=
nd
syntax. We’re looking for someone with a lively, original creative visi=
on and
the precision and commitment necessary to translate that vision into effici=
ent,
modular, elegantly-structured and well-optimized multimedia of all levels o=
f
complexity.

You’ll be expected to work well on a team with other
developers, designers, animators, and project managers, maintaining good
communication and adherence to project requirements and creative direction =
in
an open, collaborative, and fast-paced work environment. You should also be
independent and self-guided, able to manage deadlines and solve problems wi=
th
originality and efficiency.

Specific requirements include:

=A0

– At least three years of professional programming with
rich media and/or interface design focus in AS3, Java, or C.

=A0

– Bachelor’s degree with major in design technology,
computer science, or related field.

=A0

– Impeccable: ActionScript 3, Java, or C; OOP, Flash
components, client/server/database integration with web services. Experienc=
e
working with frameworks such as PureMVC and third-party code libraries.

– Good: Photoshop, design and animation in Flash.

=A0

– Nice but not necessary: High-level XHTML and CSS, PHP,
SQL, Flash remoting via AMF, unit test design.

=A0

– The ability to devise original creative solutions and
the research skills, discipline, and professionalism to bring them successf=
ully
to fruition.

– Experience working in a fast-paced, fluid environment
in the marketing or media industries.

=A0

– Maturity, responsibility, great communication and
collaboration skills, ability to manage time and deadlines while balancing
multiple projects and priorities, ability to receive and respond to feedbac=
k
and criticism with grace and professionalism.

– Empathy, generosity of spirit, strength of character,
all-around niceness.
