Elastic City (www.elastic-city.com) gives conceptual art walks through New York. We launched this past spring and are looking for an intern to help us with the rollout of our latest walks and in preparing for the next season. The intern would assist the Director in marketing and development activities for upwards of 10-15 hours/week. The position may entail (depending on your experience):
writing for our blog
maintaining our pages on social networks
photographing/recording the city
helping to write grants for funding
flyering select places in the city with postcards
updating our contact database
reaching out to other blogs for cross-marketing
We’re a small artist-run company, so the internship is perfect for someone looking for hands-on experience in the arts. We provide a small stipend consistent with hours worked. We can also grant college credit. We’re looking for someone with particularly strong writing/grammar/communication skills. Please be creative. We’re the opposite of formal but can wear it when we have to.
