Vital Findings, Culver City, CA, under contract with a major phone manufactuer
Vital Findings is a research and design consultancy based in Culver City, CA. Its client for this project, is a major phone manufacturer who is looking to bring to life six future phone concepts for consideration at CES in January. The project will include a heavy design and research component, the project team has the research component well covered and has two industrial designers, an interaction, software, and/or graphic design compliment would be ideal. The project will primarily take place in California and require some weekend travel. The ideal candidate would be based in California, but this is not a necessity.

– Working in a fast-paced, intensely collaborative atmosphere where we will be moving from concept generation to gorgeous mock-ups or animations of selected concepts in about eight weeks
– Leadership role in moving the team forward — ability to take strategic insights and turn them into concepts and prototypes
– Collaborating in generative workshops with end users
– Developing on-the-fly techniques for testing/validating concepts in the field
– There’s a good chance we’ll want to mock up an interaction to help executives understand the direction. So the ability to knock out quick
– Flash (or whatever) is a plus
– This project is not limited to web sites and conventional PC or phone applications, and gives a lot of room to explore different interaction styles, integration of hardware and software, etc.
