Jobs:

 

Front-End Developer (expert in Javascript)

 

ScrollMotion is looking for a skilled Javascript developer to add dynamic interactive functionality to our applications.  This position requires both a mastery of the hands-on aspects of web interface engineering, as well as an ability to design solid front-end architectures that integrate with other systems and technologies.  You will be working with both our design and technical teams.  A fantastic opportunity to learn and grow.  Strong XHTML, CSS, JavaScript.  3-5 years experience preferred.

Requirements:

– Practical understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.

– Experience with safari-specific development.

– Experience using JS Frameworks (jQuery).

– Writing well-formed, unobtrusive JS with scalability and extensibility in mind.

– Knowledge/ experience with front-end performance optimization

– Must be adept in debugging using tools such as Firebug

– Experience with source control (SVN, Git).

– Excellent time management, problem solving, and communication skills.

– Ability to follow technical specifications and production processes.

 

A plus for:

– Experience with mobile web development

 

 

Content Production Specialist

ScrollMotion is seeking a Content Production Specialist to work closely with our creative and tech resources to implement HTML and CSS content for our mobile apps.  1-3 years experience preferred.

 

Requirements:

– XHTML and CSS hand coding (not using a GUI tool).  No WYSIWYG coding.

– Semantic mark-up skills.

– Excellent debugging and problem solving

– Experience with version control (SVN, GitHub, or Mercurial).

– Exposure to Javascript and Javascript frameworks (jQuery).

-Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

– Ability to follow technical specifications and production processes.

– Ability to take direction on design as well as technical issues.

 

Pluses:

– Knowledge of Photoshop, HTML 5, CSS 3 and Webkit Extensions

– Knowledge of iOS devices and development

 

Production Artist:

 

ScrollMotion is seeking Production Artists to produce pixel perfect art assets for our mobile applications.  At least one year of interactive experience preferred (i.e. web sites, application development, etc.)

 

Qualifications:

– Knowledge of efficient production techniques (e.g. Photoshop actions)

– Knowledge of common file formats used in the interactive space and how best to use them (e.g. .jpg, .gif, .mp3, .flv, .pdf, etc.)

– Able to work under tight deadlines

Interns:

 

Design Department:

Looking for interns eager to contribute in the creation of some of the most exciting apps in the iPhone/iPad market.  While working in a highly collaborative environment, interns assist the ScrollMotion design department from start to finish for each project.  Must have ability to work independently, manage several tasks simulatenously and take feedback from mulitple designers.  Interns with knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and HTML coding preferred.

Product Department:

Assist in the test and review of cutting edge iPhone/iPad applications.  Must have strong written & verbal communications skills, ability to work independently and take feedback from different groups of people.  You will be helping the entire production team.  Familiarity with MS Office preferred.
