JOB: Seeking assistant for Art Tech afterschool program with teens

Seeking assistant for Art Tech afterschool program with teens

Eyebeam is looking for a student (university) to work with Eyebeam on a free afterschool program for teens we will be running this winter. The student would get to work with the very wonderful David Jimison on a music and fashion project. At the very least, the person we are looking for will be an extra creative mind in the room, an extra pair of hands, and a documentarian – so s/he should be familiar with creative collaboration and be handy with a camera and familiar with blogging. If the student knows Max MSP, or is familiar with fashion or working with sensors – bonus!  (I pasted our draft program description in below.)
If you are interested, send us an email at stephanie@eyebeam.org
Build Your Own Music-Making Clothing Line
This workshop is for teens who are interested in making interactive music. Students will get to work with DIY synthesizers, advanced software programs, and fashion designers over the course of a 10-week period. By the end of the program, each student will have modified an article of clothing that doubles as an instrument! At the program’s conclusion, we will party and perform with our new gear.

10 Thursdays, October 28, 2010 – January 27, 2011

(excluding Thanksgiving and Winter Break)
