Communications and media management position working with a popular political performance company
The Church of Life After Shopping is project of The Immediate Life, a New York based arts organization using theater, humor, and grassroots Organizing.
We create dynamic, informed public campaigns that enact our core values of participatory democracy, ecological sustainability, and the preservation of vibrant communities and local economies.
Responsibilities:
– website maintenance and updating
– handle incoming and outgoing email
– develop and expand social media platforms
– schedule and liaison with media
– database management
Must be:
– web 2.0 literate (some HTML, some Drupal)
– social, personable and politically engaged
– a decent writer with good phone skills
– methodical, detail-oriented
– self-motivated, capable of working alone
Flexible hours: This is a half time job, approximately 20 hours a week $15-20 per hour, depending on experience.
