The Role:

The Creative Lead/Art is a senior creative role and career path that is respected by the agency. Creative Leads are charged with conceptualizing original, breakthrough ideas that push the boundaries of what is thought to be possible and/or practical. Creative Leads are progressive, tech-savvy and big-thinking contributors that drive innovation within the agency and deliver best-in-class solutions for their accounts.

A Creative Lead/Art must not merely think outside the box but build a new one, energizing a brand through integrated, campaign-level thinking and flawless execution. In this role, the Creative Leads are expected to conceive and execute cutting-edge, award-winning ideas that challenge marketing conventions and build Wunderman�s reputation as a creative powerhouse.

The Creative Lead/Art has a master-level understanding of graphic design, typography and layout, and a discerning eye for photography. Along with extensive experience in offline channels, he or she must be equally adept in many digital ones, such as website design, rich-media advertising, email, social or mobile. Using all means available, you can engage audiences and immerse them in rich and creative experiences.

Major Responsibilities:

– Drive creative innovation and groundbreaking concept development

– Create breakthrough campaigns and concepts across marketing channels that are on strategy, consistent with brand equities and meet the communications� objectives

– Lead projects by example; while not a managerial role, Creative Leads are expected to inspire their colleagues to push themselves to deliver great work

– Help guide design teams in developing concepts through production; provide innovative conceptual, solid art direction to designers as well as copy direction to copywriters

– Actively participate in developing breakthrough creative for new business pitches

– When necessary, Creative Lead should be able to help out with design needs in a hands-on capacity

– Work in a team environment with Copywriters and other creative staff

– Participate in presenting work internally and to clients

– Stay current with design/industry trends and advances in digital technologies

– Help expose creative teams to new technologies and emerging trends

– Be attuned to and knowledgeable of societal and cultural trends

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

– BA or BFA degree in Graphic Design, Publication Design, Multimedia Design, or related field

– 6+ years experience in advertising, interactive agency or related environment

– Excellent communication and organizational skills; a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual able to manage many project simultaneously

– Solid sense of typography and design, with an expert understanding of print and digital production requirements

– Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint/Keynote required; abilities in Flash, After Effects highly desirable

– Working knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS, and other common web technologies

– Excellent interpersonal, presentation, management, cooperative and leadership skills

– Ability to interact positively with clients and employees at all levels of the organization

– Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

– Superior attention to detail
