My name is Ben Graney, and I’m an Alum (’08) of the Graduate Acting Program at Tisch. I serve on the board of the Graduate Acting Alumni Association (GAAA), as well as on the board of the Tisch East Alumni Council.

It was built and is maintained with WordPress and Symphony, and in my opinion is clunky and ugly. The GAAA recently had a retreat where I put forth a proposal to redesign the website to make it more exciting, easier to navigate and use, and look more professional. I have a very rudimentary knowledge of coding but am a quick learner, which is where I hope ITP and it’s Alumni come in.
I would love to redesign the website using Squarespace or Business Catalyst/Dreamweaver, but I don’t have the skills needed to go off-template and create the design and interface I want. I’m interested in these platforms because it puts more control into our hands, and not a designer and developer’s, in terms of content management.
Are there any ITP Alums or current students who you could recommend for this gig? My hope would be to sit in on the sessions so I could learn from them on how to code and maintain the site to the best of my abilities. This gig may lead to a more permanent role as our website consultant.
