Multiple positions available: Adjuncts in Internet Game Design
POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:
The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching a course in game design and gaming theory. We are looking for adjuncts with skills in the following areas:
Game Design (Flash AS3 or iPhone/iPad based)
The department’s curriculum is based on the integration of theory, technology, laboratory work and experimental learning. The curriculum is supported by Mac and PC computer labs running the latest versions of software applications such as:
Adobe CS5 Suite (Flash, Flex, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and After Effects)
Various open source applications (Blender, GIMP, Inkscape, Audacity, DAZ Studio)
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
MFA or equivalent terminal degree in digital arts and technology is required. The perfect candidate will have the personal characteristics needed to work effectively with students and staff. Teaching experience in a multicultural and urban college setting is preferred. Candidates should also possess a record of significant professional achievements, ongoing professional growth and continued effectiveness in their field of expertise. Candidates should be available to teach days, evenings, and/or weekends.
