Multimedia Producer/Editor (Full-Time)
Democracy Now!, a Manhattan based daily independent news hour, seeks fulltime Multimedia Producer/Editor. This position is responsible for producing, shooting, editing, and playing out to air video elements for the live daily broadcast and online distribution. This position requires availability to work 6:00am – 3:00pm shifts along with occasional travel for field productions.
Responsibilities
-Live on-air video playback
-Edit short video packages under tight deadline
-Edit and post online content
-Monitor news feeds
-Field productions
-Supervise staff and interns
-Book remote studios
-Qualifications
-Live TV news experience
-Excellent news judgment
-High level of proficiency with Final Cut Pro
-Excellent camera skills
-Familiar with online and HD codecs
-Familiar with Photoshop, FTP clients and NAS systems
-Experience with AfterEffects a plus
-Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
-Tech savvy and innovative
