Looking for an artist/tech/educator to teach a 10 hour technology class for over the course of one week in July 2011 at the JCC Manhattan to high functioning kids with disabilities. No experience with special needs kids needed..just patience, creativity and flexibility. Students are verbal and have challenges ranging from learning disabilites to ADHD to Aspergers. There will be other special educators and high school volunteers in the workshop for a very high student to teacher ratio. Interested in a curriculum of DIY hacking, Alice, Scratch or anything else great for kids which you’d like to suggest in your cover note.
