Seeking a midlevel MOBILE VISUAL DESIGNER for prestigious, global, and longstanding European-owned design consultancy’s newly opened NYC office. Fabulous opportunity to get in on the ground floor and shake things up! Help grow an organization from the ground up, be a key contributor in helping to set up the culture and personality of their American presence, utilize your entrepreneurial spirit and dive in where needed, and work on a variety of usable, visually appealing, and cutting edge cross-platform media in the mobile, web, interactive TV, kiosk/touchscreen, embedded UI, and overall innovation.

Job Description
We are looking for a self-motivated VISUAL DESIGNER with some mobile/iPad experience who is passionate about interactive media and wants to learn new skills, work in multidisciplinary teams, and deliver excellent quality solutions to leading companies in the following sectors: Media, Telecom and Internet Information Providers. The work we deliver ranges from mobile services to Web, Interactive TV, and digital interfaces embedded in physical environments.
We expect the successful candidate to have solid years of experience delivering interface design solutions for various clients. Ideally the candidate has worked in a collaborative team environment before, and has experience with interacting with multinational clients.
You, the successful candidate, ideally has mobile and/or iPad projects in your portfolio to show—or, barring that, some really killer app + UI design that shows it’s obvious you could easily make the transition to mobile—as it is important that you also have an understanding of how to deliver excellent quality solutions on smaller portable screens.
Key responsibilities
- Visual design of interfaces across several digital platforms: mobile, web, iPad, applications, and interactive TV.
Other responsibilities
- These areas are major brownie points: illustration, photography, or diagrammatic expertise (information visualisation)
Knowledge, skills and attributes
- 3+ years experience; must have proven experience designing for mobile screens/apps (MUST be in portfolio)
- Relevant degree or professional qualification(s)
- Proficient in relevant software packages
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to demonstrate initiative
