The role

LBi is looking for an UE Director for our thriving Health division.
The User Experience team at LBi has expertise in UE Strategy, Interaction Design, Information Architecture and User Research.
ABOUT YOU:

You will need to inspire and manage a team – you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of several User Experience Architects, working across multiple projects/clients. It sometimes gets hectic, and that’s when your team needs you to stay on top of many things without losing your cool, while also keeping control over quality and the bigger picture. There will be the opportunity to take on line-management as well as responsibility for developing the department; reporting into the head of department.
You will be amazing in front of clients – it goes without saying that your client skills are second to none. You’ll have daily contact with clients and you really need to come to life in presentations and workshops where our clients will be looking to you for expert advice and thought leadership – you also need to be pragmatic to ensure that we deliver strategic value (not just good UE) to the client’s business. You will also be involved in our pitch process, working in multi-disciplinary teams to generate response documents and lead the user experience proposition.
You are passionate about user experiences – digital is where we operate, so we do expect an in-depth knowledge of that domain, as well as relevant experience, however it is neither here nor there whether your professional experiences are in Interaction, Interface, Application, or Service design. It’s your passion for how all these things mix together and create coherent, fulfilling and rich cross-media user experiences that we will employ you for.
You are passionate about Health – as LBi’s Health division, we partner with the world’s most innovative Health and Life Sciences marketers to create brand and service experiences using LBi’s full range of digital capabilities. You’re excited to work with big name clients ranging from health publishers and hospitals to pharmaceutical and bio-tech firms.
You have done this for at least seven years – you feel at home in a creative agency environment and find your way in everything from creative briefings to detailed specifications. You’ve done it all before; UE strategy and concepts, user journeys and storyboards, sitemaps and process flows, sketches and wireframes, to detailed user experience specifications. You will lead work for big name brands on large-scale projects solving some rather complex problems. We believe that only extensive hands-on experience would have given you the operational skills that we are looking for.

You thrive in multi-disciplinary teams – at this stage in your career, your domain knowledge and expertise should be comfortably deep (and increasingly broad!) and you would have worked with most other creative disciplines in project teams. At LBi we create solutions as part of highly collaborative teams including our key allies: designers, technologists, researchers, planners, project managers, & strategists.  So for us it’s your attitude and ideas towards collaboration that will set you apart.

Does this sound like you?
