INTERN: FUSE Labs, Microsoft Research

FUSE (Future Social Experiences) Labs, part of Microsoft Research, builds transformative social experiences that span social connectivity, ubiquitous data, rich media experiences, and new sensors and devices.  Like other labs, this advanced development team (a mix of Microsoft and industry veterans) identifies “leapfrog” experiences that are beyond the current mission of our product teams, which when successfully proven can become strategic elements of Microsoft’s products and services for consumers and information workers.  You can check out our work at http://fuse.microsoft.com/

Interns work directly with a mentor and within a FUSE project team – you can either propose a new project or work on a project together with people in the lab.  We are looking for creative, self-directed people, with a history of working on impactful projects.  Programming skills are a plus, but they are not required.

Internships are 12 weeks, paid, relocation and housing assistance are provided, and dates are flexible.  There are more details on Microsoft Research’s intern program at http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/jobs/intern/apply.aspx
