Web Development Internship
Come spend the summer immersed in apple.com. We’re looking for an aspiring web developer who dreams nightly of Web 2.0 and AJAX technologies. In this position you’ll help our Interactive team with workflow automation and quality assurance projects that will have real world impact on our daily operations. You might even get to work on a secret project or two.
Generally, you should have some experience building web applications. You should have familiarity with a JavaScript library or 2. You should appreciate the need for QA routines and be able to mitigate cross browser and platform issues. Words that describe you: flexible, enthusiastic, problem solver, hard working.
Core Requirements/Interests:
– Knowledge of HTML/DHTML, JavaScript/AJAX and CSS
– Good understanding of object-oriented programming and design
– Development experience with PHP, MySQL, or Ruby on Rails
– General knowledge of HTTP, web servers and W3C recommendations
Definite Pluses:
– Experience with Mac OS X, BBEdit/TextMate, CVS/Subversion
– Experience with test driven development
– You read blogs about web standard and Apple rumors
– You love the Mac platform
