We are looking for a freelance web designer/programmer who can work smart and fast with us in creating simple sites for social entrepreneurs.
From a rough technical standpoint while considering financial constraints, the individual would:
– Use WordPress as the content management system
– Buy OR design a Theme
- Pre-designed for particular purposes (ex: photography business, multi-author blog) – Inexpensive, Out-of-the-box, but not agile
- Pre-coded theme framework with robust customize-ability by coders and visual designers (ex: Thesis theme used on http://www.krispykreme.co.uk ) – Variable landed cost, but extremely agile for long-term upgrades.
- Custom theme from scratch using Photoshop PSD file, and converting to images, php, and css files
- Install CMS plugins for security and a big variety of other purposes like shopping carts, contact forms, photo galleries.
