Job Description
We are looking for an energetic junior to mid-level UI/UX Designer with an excellent eye for design for generating innovative, elegant, usable software interface designs for our Enterprise and Desktop products. You will be expected to complete all steps in the product design process from user research, conceptualization, detailed user interface and functional design through implementation and usability review.
Responsibilities
• Work with our UX Design Lead to ensure consistent and intuitive user experience within our product’s web-based interface and across our product lines.
• Conduct research to uncover current practices, user goals and context to add value to design.
• Develop mockups, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively communicate and validate designs.
• Work with developers through the UI implementation throughout the product release cycle.
Required Skills
• First and foremost, you should recognize great web UI when you see it, and be able to explain your view.
• We’re looking for self-starters – candidates who can jump in, set their own goals, and learn by asking the right questions.
• You’ll need to have excellent critical thinking and analytical problem solving skills to distill and organize large amounts of complex information into simple, usable designs.
• You should have a working knowledge of CSS, HTML, JavaScript and Windows GUI standards.
• Adobe Photoshop skills a must. Flash/animation skills and icon making ability a plus.
• 1-5 years industry experience with software UI design.
• BA/BS degree in Visual Communications, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Finally, you should have a portfolio of related work that showcases your work and thinking process.
