INTERN: Content, Programming, Web Dev for Uncensored Interview

We’re a transmedia production and licensing company seeking 3 interns: a budding developer/technologist, a post-production intern and an editorial/marketing intern.  We’re always looking for bright minds to learn the business, which is based on content rights and legal principles, and work within the confines to improve our products.  The positions are not typical admin tasks, interns will work with executives on client projects and will be involved with real-time transactions.  The descriptions for the positions are below, if you think these are a fit for ITP, it would be great to work with some of the students.

CONTENT MANAGEMENT INTERN:

Video production and content company specializing in entertainment seeks a part-time video content intern. Intern will assist in distribution of video content to major platforms, digitizing interviews with musicians and celebrities, performing quality assurance for all videos, basic video editing and more. You’ll be preparing tapes/files for edits, transcoding, uploading/downloading from FTP sites and posting video to the web.  This position will immerse you in content management, codec specifications and delivery systems required by major media companies.  The role is best suited for candidates pursuing careers in post-production who have strong attention to detail. The position is unpaid but school credit is available, and we can accommodate your schedule.

Required technical qualifications:

Basic understanding of Final Cut Pro editing software;
Basic understanding of file transcoding/codecs/file types;
Basic understanding of file transcoding software such as Compressor;
Basic knowledge of tape decks/formats (HD Cam, HDV, Digi Beta, DV Cam, DVD);

PROGRAMMING INTERN:

Video production and content company specializing in entertainment seeks a part-time programming intern. Intern will write blog posts, tag videos for our website and our partners’ sites, write copy descriptions for new videos, perform research and fact-checking for an array of TV projects, update copy in our video archive, manage our Flickr and help promote our content via Facebook, Twitter, VEVO and more.

This position will immerse you in the world of programming, giving you an opportunity to design custom campaigns once you learn the company’s mission and content strategy. The role is best suited for candidates pursuing an editorial or marketing career. The position is unpaid but school credit is available, and we can accommodate your schedule.

WEB DEVELOPMENT INTERN:
Video production and content company specializing in entertainment seeks a part-time web development intern.  We are updating a transcoding and video distribution platform to satisfy current major media video licensing partnerships.  Our content company is also partnered with several high-profile technology start-ups to filter our rights-cleared content through their platforms.  Intern will have the opportunity to code various platforms on high-level projects, work with legal content and learn strategies around rights issues.
Required technical qualifications:
Knowledge of Rails or Rails templates
Knowledge of JavaScript
Knowledge of JW Player
Knowledge of video file formats and video sites preferred, but not required
