Solutions Architect
Omnigon, a NY-based software agency, is looking for a software Solutions Architect to join our team and work on engagements for some of the biggest brands in the world of sports, media and entertainment. The Solutions Architect is primarily tasked with creating software and infrastructure solutions based on defined business requirements and ensuring the technology pieces work together flawlessly. The right candidate will possess the skills necessary to predict issues from afar and develop mitigation strategies that address various project risks. A Solutions Architect must also be able to describe the solution in plain English to customer and ensure that buy-in is obtained.
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
– Must be able to create feasible technology solutions that satisfy business requirements, project timelines and budget constraints
– Must be able to develop high level software and systems architecture documentation
– Must be able to communicate with business leads and software developers
– Must be able to create work breakdown structures for software solutions and plot on a project timeline
– Must be able to outline and monitor implementation of solutions delivered by 3rd party vendors (e.g. hosting infrastructure, data feed providers, , etc.)
– Implementation-level experience with modern web content delivery solutions (e.g. CMS, CDN, Video delivery, Ad delivery, Web Analytics, etc.)
– Implementation-level experience with mid-tier application server infrastructure
– Implementation-level experience with fault-tolerant database back-end infrastructure
– In-depth knowledge of object-oriented design concepts, enterprise patterns and data storage implementations
– 3+ yrs of hands-on experience with one or more modern object oriented languages (e.g. Java, C#, C++, etc.)
– 3+ yrs of hands-on experience with modern database systems (e.g. MSSQL, MySQL, etc.)
– 3+ yrs of hands-on experience with modern web front-end technologies (e.g. AJAX, Flash/Flex, etc.)
– Good understanding of networking technologies (network stack, IP routing, DNS, etc.)
– Good understanding of security concepts (e.g. PKI, two-factor authentication, etc.) and encryption technologies (SSL, PGP, etc.)
– Excellent time management and resource allocations skills
– Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
– Computer science degree a plus
– Prior work experience at an interactive agency a plus

Senior Software Developer
Omnigon, a NY-based software agency, is looking for a senior software developer! Ideal candidate has a strong understanding of OO programming, has had experience with multiple languages and platforms, understands computing complexity and can evaluate business requirements in order to formulate software solutions that fit.
Requirements/Qualifications:
– 5+ yrs experience with enterprise software development
– 3+ yrs experience with one or more modern object oriented languages (e.g. Java, C#, etc.)
– 3+ yrs experience with content management systems
– 3+ yrs experience with web service technologies such as SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, etc.
– 2+ yrs experience with front-end technologies utilizing various flavors of AJAX libraries
– In-depth understanding of advanced software concepts (e.g. message queuing, threading, etc.)
– In-depth knowledge of RAD platforms (e.g. Spring, Hibernate, Grails, etc.)
