Punch! is a digital media startup that develops and distributes smart, topical, and irreverent original content for the iPad. Our top-tier creative team of journalists, editors, designers and technologists are setting out to reinvent traditional media on the tablet. We’re seeking a talented, funny and ambitious editorial intern with a passion for news, pop culture and entertainment.
The Ideal Candidate:
–Has savant-level research-and-reporting skills.
–Can write with clarity and wit.
–Possesses broad knowledge of current events, high and low culture, and all things viral.
–Is at least moderately tech-savvy (no home-schooleds please)— video-editing experience is a big plus.
— Is organized, intuitive, and self-motivated.
–Can take direction and execute complicated editorial tasks—and doesn’t care whether that occasionally means finishing up a project outside the office.
–Can generate sharp, original story ideas.
–Is available to start in early January with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week for three months.
