As a Jr. UX Designer, you’ll use your innate passion for user experience, proven creative talent and expert-level abilities in design, user experience, interaction design and user-centered design principles to manage and mentor our team of user experience designers and push our work product to new levels.  In this leadership role, you’ll champion the digital craft and ensure that the team’s output meets our world-class standard.


  • Work with a team of junior- to mid-level UX Designers working across multiple projects
  • Work with and mentor designers on the team as well as build and push the work to new levels
  • Execute top quality design work as necessary in alignment with Code and Theory’s high standards
  • Work with project teams throughout development and deployment stages to ensure work is of world-class standard
  • Work closely with Producers and team coordinators to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met within budget and timeline
  • Participate in strategy brainstorms and creative concept development


  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in interaction design
  • An in-depth understanding of CS4/5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Flash)
  • A solid academic background in human-computer interaction or related field.  Advanced degrees are preferred
  • Experience preparing and conducting user research and usability tests
  • Proficiency with Omnigraffle, Fireworks and Excel
  • Encompass knowledge of motion design (in specific relation to transitions) as well as visual/interactive/interface design trends
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating experience leading or managing the design of complex systems across multiple platforms including mobile and touch based interfaces
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to operate in a systematic and logical manner, with use of good judgment
