Qualifications:
Terminal degree inMedia Arts, Multimedia or Interactive Telecommunications (Ph.D. or M.F.A. experiencepreferred) with a minimum of three years of demonstrated teaching practice inaddition to strong evidence of scholarly/artistic publication.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidateshould be prepared to implement new integrated undergraduate core curriculum, teachundergraduate courses in Electronic Media, Print/Electronic Journalism andPublic Relations, including courses such as Web Design, Web Development, FlashDevelopment, Multimedia Production, Social Media use and optimization, or computerassisted reporting. The ability to participate in the process of developing anundergraduate track in digital game development will be an asset, as will thecandidate’s ability to teach and support the Master’s Degree in Digital GameDesign with courses in sound, animation or design aspects of that program. Candidatesshould be familiar with a variety of digital video, audio and relatedmultimedia technology and software (e.g. Flash, Final Cut Pro, Premiere,Avid, Illustrator Sound Forge and Reason. Expertise in HTML5, CSS and ActionScript is expected.Professional experience in the web/electronic media/ or digital game design is aplus.
