[INTERN] User Experience and Product Design, The Barbarian Group

The Barbarian Group is seeking a graduate student intern for Fall 2012. The intern will work alongside the interaction designers, content strategists, and creative directors of the User Experience and Product Design group within TBG.

Interns at TBG work on “real” projects with multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll serve as the user’s advocate and push for the best possible experience – one that is simple, intuitive, and brand appropriate – for TBG’s varied clients. A quick survey around the department shows us working on the redesign of a global website redesign; a social healthcare product; a streaming media service and several responsive web design projects.

We’re looking for someone who has an understanding of user motivations and behavior, as well as design, digital culture, and trends. You should have the ability to create basic wireframes, site flows, and communicate design thinking. You will gain experience creating framework models, high fidelity wireframes, interaction prototypes, personas, competitive audits, user journeys and brainstorming with multi-disciplinary teams.
