OPEN CALL: Art for a Change
On Sunday, October 7th from 6-9pm, REVERSE will be hosting Art for a Change, a silent art auction in support of the Obama Campaign. Artworks will be auctioned from 6:30 to 8pm and all proceeds will go directly to the Obama Campaign. OPEN CALL: Mappathon
A 3 day workshop from November 2-4: Mappathon teaches participants the latest technology for mapping video projections on physical surfaces, moving away from the traditional confines of the screen to sculptures and building facades. The goal of the workshop is to create several projection mapping installations in REVERSE space, where the participants create content for complex surfaces. Using MadMapper, ten selected artists will create content for mapping on predetermined large objects. A the end of the workshop, the gallery will be open to the public in a presentation of the work. OPEN CALL: Send me pictures in the morning
REVERSE invites you to participate in a fundraising exhibition to support our gallery. We are looking for candid, creative and compelling images of, or taken during, the early hours of the day. (Daybreak, twilight, dawn, sunrise, whenever it is that you awake each day.) There will be no restrictions on the quantity or type of photographs you submit and they can be framed or unframed. We only ask that they be at least 4”x6” or larger. Photographs submitted by artists will be displayed salon style at the REVERSE gallery and will be available for purchase from Friday, November 9th until Sunday, November 11th. OPEN CALL: Curatorial Proposals
REVERSE invites curators to submit exhibition proposals for a 3 to 4 week show of contemporary art in our 1000 sq ft space in Williamsburg. We are looking for curators with a vision that coincides with the gallery’s mission of providing an alternative space that fosters innovation and exploration. Submissions accepted on a rolling basis.
