User Experience Designer
Position Summary

The User Experience Designer collaboratively works with the creative teams, strategists, producers and
development teams to translate creative concepts into viable interactive solutions matching innovative thinking with
equally innovative execution.
Major Responsibilities/Primary Functions
Works closely with creatives, technologists, and producers to determine and understand the client’s goals and
target audiences for each individual project in order to create effective, innovative, standards-based and on-budget
digital solutions
Create wireframes, user flows, experience mockups, and requirements specifications for new sites, social media
apps, as well as feature requests to existing sites and new mobile devices
Stays abreast of latest trends in interfaces, UX, technologies, social behaviors and applies to groundbreaking
design and innovative user experiences
Balance organizational demands and project priorities to select the appropriate method to create a consensus and
communicate design requirements
Compare, contrast, and prioritize alternative approaches to meeting functional objectives, using judgment and
experience to suggest solutions to design problems that are optimized considering customer needs, business
constraints, and technological realities
Take responsibility for creating the user experience on projects, concentrating on end-to-end scenarios and key
user tasks
Create, maintain and share project documentation (user flows, wireframes, other user-experience-related
documents) alongside project execution
Qualifications, Distinguishing Characteristics and Special Requirements
3-5 years design experience in relevant industry
Capable of defining and implementing design guide lines, and design specs; demonstrate experience with
industry/platform standards
Prior experience in conceptual development and creative prototypes as well as tactical UI design and
implementation
Demonstrated ability to analyze an application and transform the design to make it simple and easy to use
Expert level of knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite products or their equivalent
Expert level of knowledge pertaining to the principles of web production and development
A proven track record of gaining trust and respect while maintaining composure in stressful situations
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic or Interactive Design preferred
Creative, strategic and analytical-thinking skills
Exceptional initiative and attention to detail
Some evening and weekend work required
