CALL FOR PROPOSALS
DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS
October 31st 2012
Wasted Spaces is inviting sound artists to propose works for their Telephone
Project.
A vintage telephone will be placed within one of The Yard’s communal area’s
to be discovered by a passer-by. The telephone has been modified to play
sound works created specifically for the project.
The project allows the artist to have a very personal dialogue with each
audience member which, in turn, creates an intimate experience for both
artists and listener.
Participating artists and their work will be showcased through the extensive
networks of The Yard and Wasted Spaces.
ABOUT WASTED SPACES
Wasted Spaces is an arts organization which specializes in creative
curation. Our mission is to bring quality art to new places and people.
The collective was set up to provide a platform for up and coming artists,
and to engage with communities through site-specific installations. By
creating art that is both accessible and of high quality these projects
provide a gateway for people who have traditionally felt suspicious or
excluded from modern art.
We believe art should be an inspirational moment of everyday life.
