Lead UX Designer, Interaction Designer

At LiveIntent, a rapidly growing venture-backed startup, we’ve spent the last few years building some really great technology to bring the “sexy back to email.” What we need now is a top notch UX designer to join our team to help define the vision and lead the creation of beautiful, coherent user experiences across all our products. You would be our first UX hire and ideally fluent in agile, lean UX methodologies with a bias towards continuously launching, iterating, and getting feedback and learning from our users. We’re looking for a self starter who is inspiring, creative, curious, and above all loves to see stuff get built and delight users.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Define and manage user experience across our platform
- Develop scalable and flexible design frameworks to maintain clean and simple user interfaces as we grow
- Gain deep understanding of our users by conducting user research and evaluating site and user data
- Collaborate with front end developers and others across the organization to ensure proper implementation of vision in all our products
- Develop stories, wireframes, and requirements with Product with emphasis on simplicity and ease-of use
- Conduct user testing to gather user feedback, needs, and insights to identify new and validate existing opportunities for improvement
- Evangelize UX throughout the organization
Qualifications:
- Desired Skills & Experience
- 3+ years experience of professional UX experience at leading Internet company, agency, or startup
- Experience prototyping and designing in Omnigraffle, Axure, or similar tools
- Great communication skills; ability to speak to all audiences internally and externally
- Strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JS
- Familiarity with loop11, verifyapp, or other user testing tools
- Online advertising or media experience is a plus
- Experience with data visualization, infographics, and teachings of Tufte is a plus
- Above all, a love for great usability, products, and design
