[CALL] Collaborators Wanted for Public Interactive Sculpture for World AIDS Day, Dec. 1

Interactive developers wanted to help with the Arches project, which will be part of a major interactive installation on World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, in NYC.

This is an amazing opportunity to enhance the interactivity of this sculptural installation to a whole other level. The final installation will be broadcast on the Viacom jumbo tron in time square for 4 consecutive days and will include 3 hours of continuous coverage the evening of the event. All contributors, sponsors, donors will, of course be included. Needless to say, the publicity possibilities are amazing.

The Arches: Gateway to a World without HIV and AIDS is a
physical representation of the impact that the AIDS epidemic
has had on the lives of millions of people over the past three
decades.

New York-based Designer and Italian Architect, Antonio Pio
Saracino, will build three 10ft tall arches from individual slabs
to be installed at The OUT NYC. Interactive, as well as
impressive, ‘The Arches’ will feature an LED ticker tape
streaming messages of support from donors, sponsors and the
public, serving as a beacon that celebrates our victories while
reminding us that 34 million people are living with HIV and
AIDS worldwide and that we need to remain vigilant.
First conceived by THE OUT NYC’s Creative Director, Patrick
Duffy, ‘The Arches’ is a collaboration between MTV’s Staying
Alive Foundation, renowned Italian Architect Antonio Pio
Saracino, Lifebeat, Music Fights HIV/AIDS and Chris Marta for
Icrave. This symbolic gesture serves to acknowledge, honor,
and remind us that the fight to end the spread of HIV/AIDS
continues.
