[CALL] Brand X Student Design Competition Featuring Under Armour

Paid Internships, Magazine Articles, a Trip to Chicago and Cash Prizes for Your Students

Dear Professor:

Under Armour has teamed with industry publications Event Marketer and Event Design and experience design agency George P. Johnson to launch Brand X, the first student competition on experience design.

Goal: Expose students to experience design. Teams of student designers are invited to develop a hypothetical campaign for Under Armour’s sponsorship of the 2014 Winter Olympics, including the creative concept, idea and physical and online elements. It’s a wonderful exercise for students to get “real world” perspective on one of the hottest growth sectors: experience design. Each student team will be assigned a real-world industry design mentor who will help them craft submissions and provide feedback and support.

Winners will receive a cash prize, paid summer internships, an article on their work in Event Marketer and Event Design and a paid trip to Chicago for the Brand X award ceremony.

Please let your students know about Brand X, featuring Under Armour, and remind them they can learn more atfacebook.com/brandxchallenge.

Help us help your students! We would appreciate you printing this POSTER for your design school bulletin boards and handing out this OVERVIEW to your students. And if you can, please print this FACULTY NOTE and put in your department staff mailboxes.

REMIND ALL DESIGN STUDENTS TAKING CLASSES RELATED TO EXPERIENCE DESIGN AND TEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE THAT THE DEADLINE TO SIGN UP TO PARTICIPATE IS FEBRUARY 28, WITH SUBMISSIONS DUE THIS SPRING.

Please contact me with any additional questions—we are thrilled to be a part of this first-ever design competition, which will help expose students to a red-hot design job category.
