[CALL] CODE FOR GOOD CHALLENGE/Apply by Feb. 10, 2013/Event Feb. 23 – 24, 2013

CODE FOR GOOD CHALLENGE − NEW YORK
Application deadline: February 10, 2013
Event date: February 23 – 24, 2013
HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS
Over one weekend, you’ll code in teams alongside top technology talent at our global headquarters in New York. You will be tasked with creatively using technology to address a social challenge for a leading non-profit organization. You’ll learn from the sharpest minds in the industry, as our JPMorgan Chase Technologists will advise you throughout the weekend. Not only will your vision, imagination and skills help a good cause and prove what you’re capable of achieving − it could lead to unrivalled exposure at one of the world’s leading tech houses and financial institutions.
Prizes on the day include iPads and gift cards for winning team members. Also you may have the option to further support the non-profit organization by developing the technical solution created during the challenge.
Coders will need to bring their own laptops to the event. Travel expenses will be covered by JPMorgan Chase, though conditions will apply. Further details and instructions will be provided to successful applicants.
HOW TO APPLY
Please submit your application by following the instructions on the link below.
You can apply individually, and we will place you in a team if successful. Alternatively, you can form a team in advance (teams should be between 4-6 people), noting your preferences on the application form. (Please note it is not guaranteed that all preferences can be fully accommodated). Applicants don’t need to be expert developers, but should show a strong interest in technology and be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a US college or university.
You will be contacted with the outcome of your application after the closing deadline. Good luck!
