[GIG] Data-Viz Programmer, 72 and Sunny

OVERVIEW

Are you already going to SXSW? 72andSunny is looking for a data visualization partner to team up with YesYesNo (in NYC) for the SXSW interactive festival on March 7th.

Our client is setting up a playground where people can dance, run through tires, etc. There movements would then output data into words.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

You would be responsible for designing a data visualization piece with these words. The data visualization piece would broadcast in real-time through LCD screens and speakers at the event.

We will also want you to help setup a G+ feed on a few LCD screens. The G+ feed should be illustrated in a mock banner on the screens.

THE IDEA

The audience will be able to see words and hear sounds based on their movements in real-time on LCD screens.

THE SCREENS

NINE vertical LCD screens lined up together broadcasts the words

The screens will display as the wearers move around the playground. It’ll be displayed in real-time as a simple, but beautiful feed with white colored type, in Open Sans Extra Bold, on a solid background color.

THE BANNERS

We’ll have a few computers that are displaying the same content on Google+ and mock banners that visually align to the LCD screens.

THE SPEAKERS

We also want to output some of the words through speakers setup at the event.

BUDGET: 10-20k (depending on concept)

TIMING: 2/21-3/5
