Web Designer / Developer – Tourneau LLC

Location: Manhattan, New York

Tourneau, America’s largest retailer of luxury watches is looking for a Web Designer who has experience
working in a start-up or digital agency environment. Front-end coding skills are key to this role that
incorporates web design and development across all Tourneau’s digital channels, from ecommerce and
publishing to digital marketing initiatives.

The Web Designer will work closely with the digital team to enhance existing environments and assist
in the development of an expanded digital platform. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn
quickly in various technical and creative environments is key. Best practices and design methods will be
required to insure the success of all projects and content strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Combines design and development skills to create engaging user experiences
  • Operates effectively as a member of the digital team
  • Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality
  • Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical (problem-solving) abilities
  • Communicates effectively in both technical and business environments

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of web design and development experience is required
  • Strong understanding of cross-platform user-experience and visual design
  • Excellent proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Coding skills that include HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript and Flash
  • Knowledge of content management systems
  • Expertise in best practices for online media, including web sites, advertising, and email design
  • Mobile design experience
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Desire and willingness to work in an innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment
  • BA or Masters in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field
