Job Description: Ross School Faculty Position: Media Studies (Full Time)
Media Studies program at the Ross is composed of critical deconstruction, media production (narrative, documentary, web-based, new media art, etc) media history and media practices/ ethics. Ross School Media Studies faculty member will be responsible for implementing and further developing our innovative program in grades 8-12, while collaborating with faculty to design interdisciplinary projects. S/he would be responsible for teaching both core media criticism / history courses as well as a broad range of electives focused on production.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to work creatively across a variety of multimedia/ web tools, software and programs, have teaching experience and a background in media theory/ history. Filmmakers and media artists are encouraged to apply. BA or Master in Media Studies or Film/Video Production or the equivalent. Skill set needed includes media theory/ criticism, cinema studies, FCP editing, videography, sound recording and basic web design. Coding skills a plus.
