The Workspace 2014-2015 application is now open! Workspace is a nine-month studio residency program focused on supporting the creative process. Workspace is committed to being a space for experimentation and dialogue, and encourages creative risk-taking, collaboration, learning, and skill-sharing at a critical early stage of an artist’s career.
By adapting and activating temporarily vacant office space downtown, LMCC provides 25-30 artists and arts groups with studio space annually in some of the city’s most noted landmarks. In these uniquely adapted spaces, LMCC is able to foster a community of peers and professionals from across the field.
Emerging visual artists, writers, and now performing artists are encouraged to apply and participate.
“Workspace is a great program, and the chance for collaboration is tremendous. My mind was truly expanded, my horizons broadened, and I think of myself in a new way as an arts professional. The community developed and connections made are invaluable to me.” — Pia Wilson, Workspace 2012-13
