DOOR3 (http://www.door3.com) is looking for a talented user experience intern to help in the strategy, architecture and visual design of web and mobile-based applications for a range of clients and industries.
Candidates should have an strong interest in web and mobile technology and an be well versed on the fundamentals of user experience design, interaction design, information architecture, and graphic design.
In this position, you will work closely with our team of User Experience Designers to translate business ideas into beautiful, usable applications. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with members of our marketing, business analysis and engineering teams.
This is a paid internship.
Desired Skills
– Strong understanding of the core concepts of information architecture, interaction design, usability and visual design of web and mobile applications.
– Advanced skill set using the Adobe Creative Suite of products, especially Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
– Passion for emerging technologies and methodologies relevant to UX design.
– Excellent interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational and issue resolution.
– Excellent collaborative skills. Ability to work as part of a team.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below
– Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or be a recent graduate) in a relevant field.
– Must have the authorization to work in the US.
– Must be able to work on-site at our offices in Manhattan.
– Available a minimum of 2 days starting Spring semester 2014.
