Creative Mobile App Development via Unity3d /
Mosojo Recruitment Event on Jan. 30, 12:30 pm, open to all
mosojo, a funded, early-stage NYC startup, is seeking interns to use their AppModable SDK (for Unity3D) to publish their own apps to the App Store and Google Play by semester’s end, and to monitor and to improve their app’s functionality after launch.
In return, interns will help improve the AppModable platform in preparation for launch to the app community, in addition to receiving course credit.
This is an opportunity to work with mosojo founders Chris Sung and Sean Kelly (ITP Alums and popular profs) to learn about mobile development and Unity3D.
The AppModable platform enables both app developers and app users to change aspects of installed mobile apps (visual skinning, for example), allowing anyone to build and share their own custom in-app experiences. Interns are needed both in the developer spectrum, using Unity, C#, MonoDevelop, and the AppModable SDK to code apps of their choosing (with mosojo approval, of course); and in the product spectrum, thinking about new types of apps, new forms of user-generated content, and new interfaces for mobile user engagement; and anywhere in between.
Qualified candidates need not have prior experience with Unity, but should understand basic programming concepts like classes, methods, properties; and have an affinity for UX. Most importantly, interested applicants should have a willingness to learn, and be very disciplined, as aspects of this internship will be self-guided through tutorials and sample projects/apps, but with continual access to guidance from the mosojo team at every step, as well as periodic meetings.
