Responsibilities: The 3D printing technician will be responsible for maintaining and operating various types of 3D printers and related technologies. The 3D print technician will also assisting in management of prototyping labs related to laser cutting and 3D printing, managing and training of student staff, technician repair, upgrading and installation of various software and hardware related to digital prototyping. Other duties related to prototyping labs at Parsons may and can be required.
Minimum Qualifications: Prior experience in 3D printing and laser cutting.
Prior experience working in a shop/lab setting.
Prior experience working with students/faculty or academic setting.
Highly level of operational knowledge for both Mac and PC. Bachelors degree required.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Architecture, Product design, industrial design, or related field.
High/expert level of knowledge for modeling and 3D software such as Rhino and SolidWorks.
Prior experience working with Zcorp, Objet, Mcor and MakerBot machines and software.
