Uncharted Play is currently seeking candidates with backgrounds in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design for our Spring Product Development Program. Currently, we are looking to fill a parttime employment position, as well as two unpaid internships.
Uncharted Play combines play with innovative technology to address realworld issues in a meaningful, fun way. Right now, our focus is on clean, reliable energy access for all. Our suite of play products generate real electricity to power small appliances and spread awareness about a global issue that affects billions of people daily.
Our flagship product is the SOCCKET: an awardwinning soccer ball designed for the developing world that harnesses the kinetic energy produced during play and acts as a portable generator.

As a Product Development Associate, you will get the opportunity to polish your technical and creative skills while working on projects geared for sustainable and social development. In particular, you will be involved in the development and execution of every stage of the design life cycle, with a heavy emphasis on prototyping, testing and lowvolume manufacturing.
The program is based in New York City. Our culture is friendly, casual, and upbeat. Scheduling is flexible, with a minimum of 20 hours per week required. We are very open to working with your schedule to find the best fit.
