BiblioNasium connects children to the 3 constituents that most influence what they read: their friends, educators and parents and creates a virtual reading gymnasium, where kids can set goals, practice and get rewarded for completing reading challenges.

Additionally with its mission to engage, encourage and excite young children to read, BiblioNasium sits at the exciting intersection of two industries that are in the process of transformation: Children’s Book Publishing and Education Technology.

Internship Overview

We are looking for motivated, fast learning Interns to work directly with the Founder, CEO.

Our Interns will need to wear many hats and be able to move quickly between assignments and juggle multiple projects.

Interns should have great writing skills, be resourceful and be creative problem solvers.

Knowledge and passion for children’s books is a huge plus.

Start Date: February 2014

Hours: Minimum 15 hours

Compensation: Paid Internship – (Depending on background and time committed)

Our interns would engage and gain experience in any of the following areas depending on how many hours they have available.

Marketing/PR Intern

We will focus on increasing our user base by engaging and reaching the educator and parent community through

• Social Media Engagement

• Writing and Administering Email Correspondences and Newsletters

• Interacting with Top Bloggers and Existing Community

• Building Relationships with Literacy Organizations

• Creating and Administering Surveys and Feed Back forms to Existing Community

• Researching Best Practices and Following Competitors

• Monitoring and responding to user communications

Digital Product Intern

We will focus on improving our digital platform and our user experience through

• Regularly Review, QA and Analyze Product – Document Features

• Researching best practices and competition

• Following up with Power Users and getting product Feedback

• Use Agile Methodology & Pivotal Tracker to Interact with developers

• Monitoring, Responding to Help Desk/Feedback/Contact Us Issues

• Aggregating Requests and Issues and Providing Input in Product Prioritization

• Creating YouTube – “How To” videos

• Writing Tips for best practices

• Administering Weekly Student Log Winner
