New York City Economic Development Corporation challenges you to become one of New York’s Next Top Makers. We are seeking Makers, entrepreneurs and creatives with working prototypes that:
were designed in NYC,- are ready to be manufactured in NYC, or
- solve an NYC problem.
Apply now to receive a year of support as a Next Top Maker to take your awesome prototype to market. If you have ideas or would like to get involved, but do not yet have a working prototype, sign up to receive updates on the program and invitations to events.
Over the past several months, we talked with more than 50 people and organizations working to make New York City the hub for innovative manufacturing, creativity, design and innovation. There is incredible momentum behind Making here, and New York’s Next Top Makers seeks to highlight these stories, while attracting new minds and resources to the space. Applications are open now through September 3rd. Public voting will take place from July 23rd through September 10th, and the six finalist projects will be announced following a five-borough pop-up tour scheduled for September 15th to 19th, 2014.
