e.thePeople (ETP) is looking for someone enthusiastic about using tech for civic good. Working from home, we need a tech savvy, patient, and friendly person to provide support to organizations using our voter guide software. ETP’s voter guide software is used by civic and news organizations across the country to provide online voter guides within their communities. The organizations using our software have varying degrees of technical capacity and sometimes require assistance to take advantage of all the software’s built in features. Job responsibilities include responding to “helpdesk” emails from our clients who are using our software. This can involve answering simple questions about how the software works to troubleshooting more complex problems. Most responses are provided via email but occasionally phone or via GoToMeeting support is required. Job can be performed from home as long as the individual has a reliable computer and Internet connection. Schedule is 12 – 20 hours a week through November 4, 2014. Salary is $15 per hour. Shifts available during weekdays late afternoon/early evenings and daytime on weekends.
Qualifications:
Experience using complex software programs, adept at learning new software, excellent puzzle solving skills, good written and oral communication skills, analytical mind, and an interest in tech for civic good. Tutoring and/or customer service experience a plus.
