[JOB] Creative Lead, Copywriting, Deeplocal Inc.

Deeplocal is looking for a new team member who’s an incredible wordsmith and creative thinker.

The Creative Lead: Copywriting, is an expert in creating emotional connections through words and ideas. The role focuses on delivering simple creative concepts with succinct copy, backed by research and insights. This position will spend significant time both ideating never-been-done ideas and creating presentation decks with flawless copy and design.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of digital (and ideally physical) media and will be involved in the entire creative cycle from brainstorm to delivery. They will understand and love grammar, language and persuasive communication. A background in creative writing or journalism is preferred.


  • Consults with Account Executives to obtain information on product or service and to discuss style and length of advertising copy, obtaining additional background and current development information through research and interviews
  • Reviews advertising trends, consumer surveys, and other data regarding marketing of specific and related goods and services to formulate presentation approach
  • Participates as creative team member in the investigation and solution to creative projects within the context of strategic and marketing direction provided by the client
  • Works in conjunction with Art Director counterpart (when assigned) in defining a structure, organization or interpretation of a solution for specific project(s)
  • Helps in the creation of and, if necessary, the presentation of creative copy concepts for projects
  • Writes preliminary draft of copy for client approval
  • Corrects and revises copy as necessary
  • Cooperates with Account Executives and Producers with regard to schedule, bidding, execution and projection of a project in all phases of copywriting and editing
  • Works closely in conjunction with team makers and creatives for product and technical correctness and terminology
  • Reviews nomenclature guide in order to remain current
  • Keeps current on all industry trends and research

  • 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience along with an impressive portfolio

  • Excellent analytical skills and strong sense of creative process.
